Does size really matter??

I am looking at Magnaflow exhaust systems and I am seeing both 2 1/4in and 2 1/2in options. What is recommended for the 5.4 2004 Screw? This is a SIDO setup.

I appreciate any feedback!.

I think 2.5 might be better as well. The tuner and lightning forums go into detail about set ups and systems on this site.

The Troyer site sells systems and has Dyno tested for the setups he sells. The combinations are listed as well as the benefits.

Some systems have 3" cat back piping. I'm not sure what the benefit is of that on stock motors or close to stock motors, unless of course, your running all four stock converters and plan on including them in your set up. The 3" systems include the muffler. This must be used to in order to benefit from said system.

Do a little homework , you should be able to gather the info you need for a proper setup with the resources I posted. Figuring out a good set for your application isn't always easy given the variety of information you will hear. It also depends on other mods you plan to include.

So far, the best numbers I'm seeing from just a muffler replacement is from Borla.
