I just finished putting the intake and Magnaflow exhaust I had on my 06 onto my 08 and noticed that I only had 1" of clearance between the pipe and the spare tire. Is this enough? I never really payed any attention to what the stock clearance was but I do not think it was this close on my 06. Mind you 06 was 17" tire not 18" and was a 5.5' box not 6.5'.

I took a 5 minute trip down the highway with the engine already warmed up and my tire was still cool to the touch, and the exhaust had warmed up.
