My Dakota has a deep bass sound revving, idleing, and driving. Good all-around-sound.

I've heard Chevy engines that sound great revving and idleing, but driving, it sounds horrible.

I think it is just a characteristic of Ford's engines. Doesn't sound good revving, but sounds good idleing and driving.

sounds alot better driving because the engine has a load on it.

reving in park or neutral there is minimal load on the engine so it revs fast, and has no restriction to keep it higher in the rpms

its just the exhaust pulses going from fast to slow, so there is pressure building and releasing, and then not building up as fast...

well on the cut-outs it claims "open up the covers for open headers and take .3 seconds off your 1/4 mile times" i dont belive it but never know i love open headers....every now and then. wish my videos of the dynomax's with my longtubes could get posted. i love the sound its loud! haha but then for what ever reson if i need to be heard a mile a way i roll under my truck and take off 6 wing nuts and 2 covers and im open headers you see the video in my sig? thats pacesetter shorties into just a down pipe 2.5" pipeing. i think now that i got longtubes open headers is louder lol.
