K&N drop in question???

Do I need to reset the KAM even after just replacing the stock air filter with a K&N drop in? I didn't really notice a difference, and wonder if that is why.
Thanks, Mike

The K&N drop in was my original mod as well and I did not notice anything - but it still may help your power or mileage a slight bit.

Thanks. Since I bought the truck used, I wonder if I should reset it anyway.

you shouldnt have to reset anything if its just the filter. pick up a can of m.a.f cleaner as well. youll want to spray some on there every now and then to keep the wires from getting gunked up.

Will do. I was thinking of the reset since I bought the truck with 80k miles on it from the original owner, and I don't know if it is still retaining his driving habits. How long does it take for the computer to "learn" your habits without a reset?

This would probably be a good time to follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix" rule of thumb
