Just added a Super 10 and went 3" cat-back to a 3.5" slash cut tip. For now, yeah, I noticed a very slight drop in torque, but that's the 4.6 anyway. My powerband seems smoother though, if anything- but remember it just got done this weekend. Finally got rid of that stock oil drum of a muffler on there.

I imagine I will see a drop in mpg cuz I sure ain't playin' the radio!

In the end, it sounds way to friggin' cool to care about losing an mpg or two and some minimal torque. Call me an ignoramus, I'm smiling too much to care!

How does the nickname "pornstar" come about without excessive promiscuity?

I've seen a thread bumped from 1999.
its about a 3hp gain diff from Magnaflow and FM and i got my Nick Name PornStar from my band mate because i was the lead singer of the Band Dedlock..
they called me that because i got tons of girls hanging on me all the time...at first i hated it but it grew on me... so cant complain to much

Shoulda specified that.. Still won't gain any power over stock or over a much cheaper gotts mod. Only gains will be in 5000rpms.

No argument from me...I'm sure as soon as the newness wears off, I'll consider this...I do feel a loss of low torque. Enough to notice anyway. Top end- nothing in RPM changes, but it does feel "smoothed-out".

I guess I could what- neck down post muffler and out?

BTW, with the 4.6L, the Super 10 is not the scary beast I had heard it was. Drone is very minimal, idle and cruise speeds are very mellow and low. Only on throttle is there any bark, a slight bit of popcorn at rev let off. It's not at all going to upset the neighbors.

I put a K&N CAI on my truck when I was 16 (19 now) because it looked cool and have regretted ever since. I have FM 40 SI/DO muffler and once my foot un-implanted itself from my floor board my MPG leveled out to relatively the same level. I kept two of my cats and sawed the other two off. no emissions in south GA

Maybe you should take your own advice and not listen to marketing hype.
I currently have the gotts mod (same as cai but cheaper) on my 07 5.4 . My butt dyno barely felt anything.

Go learn stuff? Any idiot knows that 3 HP doesn't take two seconds off for a 5k lb truck. I have long tube headers and a full stainless exhaust that I put on myself, along with custom tunes, and they did next to nothing for performance. Get your stop watch looked at. Anyone who thinks an intake can take 2 seconds off doesn't know how to tell time or gobbles up sales claims like a moron. No stock <=2010 F150 can run 8.0 seconds to 60 in the real world. Heavily modified 05-09 Mustang GTs and E46 M3s were never able to crack 6 seconds after multiple actual tests that I was personally a part of.

2 whole seconds could maybe result from full exhaust, UD pulleys, E-fans, intake, proper dyno tuning, and regearing the rear end. Anything short of all of those together wouldn't do crap.
