Had them on a 98 Tahoe, My 00 F150, and now my 07 KR Screw. The day I bought the King Ranch, was the day I put on my pipes. I believe my truck had less than 30 miles before the stock muffler got cut off.

The shop I get them done at, does all the welding and bending of the pipe. I have put about 265,000 on two sets of Flowmasters. I have NEVER noticed decreased gas mileage. Do they cut horsepower? "Hell if I know, but they sound cool."
Good God that's the best reply ever. Who cares if you lose/gain 3hp & 4.5ft/lbs of torque.

And I noticed a bump up in MPG when I installed my Flowmaster 40 series on my F-150. That was way back when it was stock too. I didn't even have plates on it...

SI/DO Flow 40 on mine and no low end torque loss on my truck. Good acceleration and towing with my Edge set on lvl/2. Still can get up to 18mpg under right conditions. Not bad for a heavy truck! Sound's good too, but stiil can't match a set of open header's.

a balancing pipe, it's what the mustangs come with from the factory

rule of thumb is:

with an X-pipe use straight thru muffler (like magnaflows)

and with an H-pipe use chambered mufflers (like flowmasters)

I just installed a Flow-Master 40 SI/DO 3 inch on the in and 2 1/2 on the out and i gained HP and 2 MPG on my 2007 F-150 Lariat unless u are pushing over 600Hp you dont want over 2 1/2 out or you will lose alot of HP. It sounds great if i stay at 65-70 MPH i get around 18.5 to 19 MPG at 80-85 i get like 17.5 to 18 MPG.

You should have got a BORLA. I took my FlowBASTARD off after a few months and noticed a world of difference. The Borla sounded 100% better after install and 300% better after break-in. Its louder now.

^Considering that FMs literally consist of a maze for the exhaust gases to flow through, there is a considerable difference between the Magnaflow that goes straight through.

How does the nickname "pornstar" come about without excessive promiscuity?

I've seen a thread bumped from 1999.

Lol get off the marketing wagon. That intake isn't going to give you any horse power or mpgs, its only going to give you hot air to your engine.. Do yourself a favor and do done searching on this sight before you make your next purchase..

I wanna see some dyno sheets of your horse power gain. Before and after please.

Functional Ram Air with a box would help the CAI. The one thing I noticed with the CAI with throttle body and port and polished intake is that the engine can Rap up and down faster. My a$$ dyno said it made a difference but I doubt you would want to see that dyno info...lmao The polished 77 series made the engine compartment look nice for shows and like I said, the Rap up and down tells me it did something as far as restriction goes. A CAI won't do crap for you unless you have done alot on both sides of the engine both intake, exhaust, cams and dyno.
