Louder!!!

I have an 03 with a 5.4 with 2 40 series flow masters. I want it to sound louder... will high flows change the sound or should i just have the cats cut and install the 02 elim?

Thanks

high flows should make it louder
cutting out the cats and putting straight pipes where they were will be louder yet

true duals with no mufflers. Run the pipe off the back of the factory converters; you dont really need an X pipe. It's loud.
I have 2.0" on my 4.6.......i wouldnt go any bigger than about 2.5.

What I got

So, i agree with you, i want mine loud as heck too. right now, i am running just a single straight pipe from the Y to in front of the rear tire.

Thats a video to what it sounds like. The only problem I have is the resonance inside the truck, it is terrible.

I dont know what to do either, I called Troyer and asked about the high flow cats, but the lady said that since my truck is an 07 that i have to wait something like 7 years b4 i can change the emissions system. so now i am at a standstill too. Im thinkin I should just cut off the Y and run a muffler-less true dual to the back with an X pipe right after the two pipes meet up under the cab... I dunno, its just crappy cuz it keeps costing more and more money and i still cant get the sound i want. Oh well :P~

I had a flowmaster 2 chamber but its not that loud on an 05. Try an IMCO 1 chamber... I am very pleased.
