the only thing I am worried about would be the SMOG test. They now perform the SMOG II test and its a little more involved. I am pretty sure they would be able to detect that I am not running "legal" exhaust. SMOG is every two years tho, maybe I wait for my next one, throw some Long Tubes on and pollute for about 2 years then do a swap back. That just seems like a bunch of work for some extra HP... Cali is great in almost any aspect, except this one. Its enough to make me wana get out !

just put clamps after your headers that are easy to get off and throw on like 20 cats if you dont pass then i donno what to tell you lol. just have your set up like this...long tubes high flows *always stay* and then have your mufflers be able to unclamp easly and throw some more cats up there b4 tests.

I got the JBA ceramic coated shorty's on my 4.6L truck. They are still better than the stock system the truck came with. I would have gotten long tubes though if they were available for my truck.
