Raspy, any way to get rid of it?

So Ive had a SI/DO 14" Magnaflow on my truck for awhile now. 2.5 in, 2.25 out, 3.5 inch tips. Sounds awsome at lower RPM, but its just sounds like a wet fart at higher RPMs. Just bothers the everloving p!ss out of me. I dont even like to get on the gas becuase it bothers me so much.

Ive had it on for long enough, so I know the muffler is 'broke in'. Is Magnaflow really this bad (Everyone says they arent raspy at all )
I was wondering if maybe it was the smaller 2.25 inch pipe, but I dont know if going up to 2.5 would make much, if any, difference at all.

Is it the damn Magnaflow, or just the way its setup?? Any ideas?

meh, magnaflows have never really sounded good to me at higher RPMs. they sound great on startup and under 2k RPMs, but they kinda keep the same tone the whole way through, losing volume as the engine speeds up. maybe gut your cats or get a muffler replacement.

put a resonator in before your muffler

Newp, gutted those things so they are just like a regular ol tip now. Before I gutted them I didnt have this raspyness...but I couldnt even hear the exhaust with them.

Maybe I will try ripping the pipes off from the muffler back and see if it is the small pipe that might be causing it....who knows.
