Thumbs up Magnaflow Rep Question

I was thinking about purchasing the following muffler listed below:

5x8x14" SI/DO

Can you give me an idea of the volume level of this muffler? How does it compare to a Flowmaster 40 series? Do you have a sound clip of an F150 with this muffler?

If anyone else has the same muffler, please answer as well.

Thanks!

Does anyone have a 14 inch si/do universal Magnaflow muffler? I would like to know how it sounds.

Thanks in advance!

KEITHHATTER:

I have been to the Magnaflow website and I was not impressed with their variety of sound clips. I couldn't find a clip with the muffler I would like to purchase.

Does anyone else have a sound clips?

Thanks.

I want to know if it is going to have a lot of drone inside the cab. I am trying to decide on the 14 inch or 18 inch magnaflow.

I have this muffler, si/do 18" side exit, and I love it. Its deep on start up, but quiets down a little bit at idle. When you accelerate from a stop it sounds great, and when you get to cruising speeds it quiets down to a nice tone. There is no cab drone at all going down the freeway. The sound difference between windows up and windows down is quite amazing. These trucks are very well insulated from outside sound. Sometimes I wish it was louder, but I have to remember I'm not hearing what people outside are hearing.

go with the 14" I had the FM 50 series and went eith the 14". I think there about the same with sound, but the truck runs better with Maggie. I wish my truck was louder and I am thinking about the high flow cats to try and get some more sound from the truck.

I don't have a 14" but I do have an 18". So, I'm assuming that however mine sounds, the 14" will sound a bit louder.
