Airaid on 4.2L
You should'a went with the whole kit. It gives even more throttle response in my engine because of the polished-chrome tubing offering less air resistance. Plus it adds some glamour to the stock engine compartment when I open the hood. Mine is the K&N Series-77. I've also got some wires hangin' out up top from my twin Hella Driving/Fog lamps. I think I may wrap them up in black electrical tape to blend in.

Also, you may want to dump the throttle on takeoffs, but once you see how much gas your using, you will slow down! It took me a whole tank of gas used up in a week before I learned to accelerate slower and dont punch it

Oh, and I don't "dump throttle" unless I have to. My truck is for transportation and workin, so it needs to last me.
