straight pipes

So i new around here and wanted to get some new exhaust. My friend has straight pipes with a 5" flowmaster tip. I like how it is really loud and very cheap (only $350) compared to Roush Off Road exhaust. But i wanted to know if i could get 6" tips? Also was wondering how much horsepower and torque and mpgs i would get? thanks

you really wont gain anything... just sound. I'm sure you can find 6" tips at a diesel performance website or shop... why not just put a piece of pipe in place of your muffler and weld a tip on the end of your factory pipe? That would be very very cheap.

X2 - If you are looking to go cheap, then this is a good route. I have straight pipes and love it. I Had a 18" maggie kit and hated it. <snipped classified ad>

$350 for straight pipes?? Shop around man, there are lots of guys on here that got true dual straights for $150-$200 including me.

Be sure to go true dual, it sounds a lot better

dont go with glasspacks, they are worse than flowmasters, you will loose all kinds of power
