MagnaFlow Help

I was looking at the magnaflow exhaust kit part 16615 for my reg cab i was just wondering what size of muffler comes with it and how will it compare to the sound of say of a roush exhaust?

Also whats a good price that i could pay for one? Where can i get the best price for it?

Just buy the muffler and get your local exhaust shop to bend the pipe/s wherever you want.

they will run the pipes and everything for about 100 or so. You can either order Magnaflow tips or just get whatever stainless tips you want and get them installed when you get everything else done.

Or you could just dump it right after the muffler and you won't have to worry about cleaning the tips. They will take the stock muffler off and put the new one on for 50-75 dollars

if you do go with magnaflow, get their 14" magnapacks, or just go dynomax bullets. the rest of their mufflers sound like fart cans you see on ricers.

I actually just went to a shop here. They quoted me $600 for a cat back all stainless lightning style with an 18" maggie and choice of tips. but these are with normal compression bends!! I am ordering 16616 from hottexhaust, got a quote of $350 shipped to my door with mil. disc. And that's mandrel bent. The way I see it, on a $35k truck, do everything the right way.

Get more than one quote. See what the shops will charge you for just labor. You can get most Magnaflow mufflers from Amazon for much less than shop prices and the shipping is free.

I had a shop cut off the OEM muffler and weld in a 40 series. Labor was $20. $2.50 for extra parts (pipe).
