Fake flowmaster?

I was able to get a good deal on a fake flowmaster exhaust. It was put on with the stock pipes. This is on my F150 99 4.2. The question is what can I do to this exhaust to make it sound deeper? I dont want to loose back presure to the motor. I would like to know what the differnce are between these set ups. 1. Put a 3 inch tip right at the end of the exhaust under the truck? 2. Run a st8t pipe out the rear of the truck with a 3 inch tip? 3. Keep the stock pipe the way it is now stock with a 3 inch tip.

Which brand was it? What was the model #? Which shop sold it to you?

basically a knock off. supposedly there was like a year when flowmaster lost its patent and some other companies started making their mufflers. they are the exact same thing just without the Flowmaster name on them

Well the way I got the muffler was when I was changing the cats. He told me that he got a few mufflers shipped to him by mistake. When he tried to return them he was told to keep them. They still sent him his flowmaster order. He offered it to me for 70 bucks. For that price I figured Ill try it. It sounds just like the flowmaster. In a few weeks I am going back to a 3 inch tip installed.

You actually pulled the muffler off yourself, after they installed it, and went back to them?
