Should I buy an AF1

I have a 2003 screw with the 5.4. I have a magnaflow sido kit and am running 33x12.50 mud terrains. How much will this wake my truck up, if any, and is there the slightest bit of fuel economy to be gained? Im not really concerned with haulin ***, more concerned with overall drivability. This seems to be a popular kit and it is cheaper than most other intakes. Seems to be the one to buy, but will i get $250.00 worth of improvement?

First, unless you're planning on getting customized tuning you're limited to the 3" AF1. The 3.5" requires tuning to adjust for the increased airflow.

I'm using the 3", put it on several months before I ordered tunes from Troyer, and honestly I was very pleased with the increased throttle response. Mainly that was at mid to high rpm, like when trying to pass or merge on the highway. Made a nice difference. The sounds it makes are freakin' sweet too.. I didn't notice any gains in mpg, less than .5 gain if any.

Runnin' those big mudders that you have I think you'd notice the throttle response with the AF1 but don't count on any mpg gains.. Your best bet would be giving Troyer a call and see what they can hook ya up with as far as the intake and tunes.

Troyers tunes would make the biggest difference, guaranteed.

It's like having an entirely different engine and tranny in there.. just amazing..
