Change from Flowmaster to Magnaflow

Has anyone changed from a Flowmaster to a Magnaflow? I have the F/M Super 40 SI/SO 3 inch (5.4L). The sound is nice on the outside, but a little too much "cab rumble" for my taste when I am sitting in traffic. I have ran the 50 Series SUV in the past (2007 5.4L), so I thought I would try the Super 40 this time around. Anyway, I am looking to get some feedback from anyone that has switched from a F/Master to a M/Flow (or even from a Mag to a Flow). I am going to try the 5x8x18 SI/SO 3 inch (#12249). Thanks in advance for any feedback from you guys/gals...Kool150

I love my Flowmaster Series 40 SI/SO, but I do know what you mean about the cab rumble; especially with my turndowns.

Flowmasters sound ok, but they rust out, and they rob low end torque! I know from experience, as well as hearing from many others experiences! I would recommend dynomax or magnaflow! Dynomax bullets sound really good for the cheap price!

Yes im guilty of once having a flowmaster 40 as well. But hey it was my first muffler and I was learning! After that was the true dual dynomax bullets..., and now..., true dual straight pipes with an X-pipe, exiting in front of the right rear tire! Finally found what I love and im never going back!

I doubt i'll ever buy Magnaflow, unless I had a really open system like hi-flows and LTs. I prefer the sound of Flowmaster, but the quality & construction of Magnaflow.
