Sound Clip - 2000 5.4 4x14 Magnaflows

Heres the link:

I think it sounds less cackly and a little deeper in person. I took the video with a digital camera, so the sound quality isn't the best. Anyways 2000 5.4 Magnaflow 4x14 rounds true duals with 2 1/4" pipe.

Yup put the X-Pipe in place and it will get rid of the cackle. Mine did the same before i added the X-Pipe. The X will balance the system out much better and give it a meaner tone. The mufflers will get considerably louder after they break in.

So how do you like it?? You have the same as me only i have an X-Pipe. If you buy the X-Pipe you can run straight pipe to both mufflers after the X. There is enough clearance between them to make it completely straight!!

I like it so far! Like a couple of you have said, i'm sure the tone will change a bit after they get broke in - they've only been on for a week. I mentioned an x pipe to the exhaust shop, but they said i shouldn't see any difference with one. Oh well, an x pipe might come in the future.

I think mine kept getting louder for about 1,000 miles before it stayed the same. They should get a deaper tone. I started the same way as you then added the X-Pipe and it really made it sound better with no cackle and meaner tone. I will say that the X-Pipe made it quieter for some reason and i finally just dumped it right after the muffler.
Glad you like it

Mine got louder because it leaks at the factory seam - the piece the mid-pipe connects to .. - getting worse every day .. Putting my flowmaster back on .. I won't have any torque , but at least there mufflers stay together..Magnaflow's are way to overrated, very disappointed..

Yea , I don't know why they just don't run a beed around there to seal it up..

Heres a pic of where it leaks - The muffler side of the pressed in Flange on the muffler itself. The joint after the mid-pipe joint.
