K&N, AF1 or S&B??

Which do you think would be best. K&N, AF1 or S&B, i've been doing some research and it looks like the AF1 guarntees the most hp gains but i was wondering if its true. Im looking to gain the most hps i can. I have the 4.6l and i need some more hp to get my truck going bc of my tires and rims that have, they seem to weight me down a little. thanks for the help.

Everyone seems to like there AF1 and has a good write up. I have The S&B and love it. A tuner will make a big difference in your truck.

I too am in the same boat. I llike the fact that i can buy the K&N down the street, but I have been told the AF1 is the way to go, I have an Airaid now and am returning it due to the drone it has. So don't get that one..........Also the tunes helps too. I have and EVO but am trying to sell to get the troyer tunes.

If you get a drone with the Airaid try the AF1. The drone will be worst with the S&B.

I just replaced my S&B with the AF1, and from experience it just runs better. I can tell a performance difference over the S&B, plus it sounds a lot better. I don't have the vibration and drone that I had with the S&B.

Another AF1 vote.. the quality, the fit & finish, the sound, the gains you can feel at mid to high rpm..

3" AF1, you can't go wrong..

Go with the 3.5" with a custom tune, gives the most gains available

AF1 all the way. They also have a lifetime warranty except for the filter.

Lol........I guess I'm the only one to stand for little old K&N over here. I can't tell the diff between the two, but it definately has a kick of power to my truck now and past 3K rpm my truck sounds like a supercharged V8! i made a lil video after i got it installed....here it is if you want to watch it. feel free to leave a comment!

I also went with the K&N FIPK. It adds a lot of power, good throttle response, and doesnt drone as bad as some of the other intakes, but does add a nice growl on acceleration.

The main reason i went with K&N is because they have been in the business forever and have always made a quality product that is guaranteed to last. They also back it with a lifetime warranty.

X2 on the K&N. seeing a K&N filter on my stock 71 corvette made me feel alot better. i also like the look of the 77 CAI. sure K&N wont add the most HP but they know what there doing.
