changing my exhaust setup

2004 5.4L 3V extended cab.

I am changing my exhaust set-up. Let me know what you guys think of these options. Both options are straight pipe. No mufflers for me.

1) Side exit in front of rear passenger tire. I will keep the factory Y-pipe and run a single pipe to a double slash cut tip.

2) X-pipe duals out the back corners 45 degrees from rear. Single slash cut tips.

Will getting the X-pipe with give me a good performance gain over the Y-pipe. Yes, I did do a search, but I can't find any good answers on this.

Thanks - Any and all opinions and info are welcome

ps - I am selling my my magnaflow 16612 si/so system jimc2004@hotmail.com if interested.
