Lucky you (on the Edge part) What series did you get? I have the -77, it is the big chrome one! I bet it will be nice with that tuner.

i have the K&N FIPK2 with the larger plastic tubing, and it roars with my troyer tunes. i absolutely love it. K&N has been in the business forever and they always make high quality products and i highly recommend them as well.

OP, be advised:

2004 pre-existing lean condition + CAI known to exacerbate same + canned tune that produces power (in part) by leaning out = risk.

You need to do the research on this site before you buy anything. That's the value of thousands of 'been-there-done-that' information.

I've got $400 to burn, Cold Air Intake?

So, after my most recent batch of upgrades, (Edge and Roush OR Exhaust), I want some more power.....

Can anyone school me on Cold Air Intakes?

What they essentially do?
How much it will run me?
Can I put it on myself?
What company should I go with?
Where can I find em cheapest?

Thanks, Favre

What is the A/F ratio before and after the intake on these trucks?

Is is mixture problem bad on stock '98 F-150 with only an K&N CAI? That's what I got. No tunes or anything, although I'm looking for some.
