Straight out the back vs. 45ed

Okay I can't make up my mind but its getting about time that I am ready to fix my exhaust. I am wanting to raise my exhaust up since I have a body lift and I am wanting to put about a 4.5 or 5 inch tip on. The problem Is I'm not sure which exit I want. I have always had straight out the back but the more and more I see trucks with it 45ed It grows on me. So I need everyones opinion which would look better on my truck:

This is what it looks like now. Also I forgot to ask earlier does bigger tips make a big difference in loudness or just a minor difference?

I like out the back, but my pipes are up higher than yours and my 18" tips are angled down, so pretty much all you can see is the tips.

My brother has the same treatment but at 45 degrees with a slight downwards angle to again hide the pipe, it looks very nice as well. You can hear his better with the windows down as the sound can get caught by the curb.

If you are going thru the hassle of getting tips then don't show your pipes.

Bigger tips make it sound like it is underwater, I like my 3.5" Magnaflow tips.

45's would look NICE on that truck, the way it's lifted up with the big meats on there. That's my vote.

I've got mine angled out at 45. I thought it was cool at first but the tips get so dirty.

i prefer it straight out the back. reduces interior sound better but still roars outside. plus the tips dont get dirty as easily.

Cut 'em off! I've got a magnaflow dual exit dumped before the axel and it sounds great.

On a lifted 4x4 truck, side exit ( 45 degree ) tips behind the wheels looks the best IMO.

See I have always had straight out the back and like I said the more I see 45ed the better I like it. The only thing I am not going to like about 45ed is that the tips do get dirty quicker and the rust faster...I don't know yet I am kinda leaning toward 45ed due to it would be something new. I think straight out the back is more for a stock truck for a slick clean look...oh and there is no chance in heck I am going to dump the exhuast the whole point of an exhaust for me is to have those chrome tips stickin out!

As long as you get high quality SS tips, you will be fine, they shouldnt rust
