Question which maggie cats???

no applications for an 06' 4.6 as far as high flows??? which number is going to work... i dont care if i dont pass emissions. but i dont want that godamn light to always be on... also, since the o2 sensors mount IN the factory cats, will i have to mount them after the maggies??? and if i do, will it set off the light?

Hi.

Check out these: http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...atalogno=54306

You have a 2.5" exhaust so these should fit.

Mount the O2 in a bung, welded on the pipe behind the muffler.

Should be fine, but you won't really know until you try, as O2 placement can be tricky.

Good luck.

i plan on going true duals with an H-pipe, so i'm moving down to 2.25" piping, 2.5 is a little big for the 4.6, so i'm going to use the 2.25 cats...... so do you think it'll bee ok to use the 2.25 cats?

Sure. They have those as well. http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...atalogno=54305

BTW - I'd use an x-pipe myself: http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...atalogno=10790

Give 'em a call - it's always good to get their advice on this stuff.

Good luck!

you do know that in california it is illegal to tamper with stock cats at all...that means:
a) no high flows
b) you must run all 4 factory cats, and if one defects it must be replaced with the same exact factory cat
c) no cutting or tampering with them

eh, legality, who cares...

Did you also know that in Cali, its illegal to replace a cat in a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles if the vehicle was produced in 01/96 or later?? and yes... legality, who cares, if they made 02 simulators for post cat sensors, and for my truck, so there wouldnt be a mil on... i'd run an off-road pipe... i have a "smog" guy, so i dont care about passing, i just care about the performance and not having a stupid light on all the time

Just so you know. You can get the Magnaflow high flow cats on ebay for about 55 bucks each!
