Most power for $150?

Ok, so I just ordered a K&N Series 77 cold air intake kit for my 4.2L V6 a few mins ago and my bank statement says I have around $150 left in my account. I am still a little power hungry and I'm wondering what would be a best buy for under $150 and give me some added HP/torque? I just learned that throttle body spacers are just paper weights, so thats outta the question, and the exhaust system I have been looking at is around $800 and I wont worry about that until sometime next year. Any suggestions? Thanks,

-Alex

udp, shift kit, save for gears like supercrew said, buy a imco extreme or magnaflow muffler and have a shop weld it in for u for around 150 depending on where ur at. or save for a tunner by VMP(best v6 tuners from what i hear, about $400)

dad isnt ready to let me mess around with the trannie or anything like that, but im interested in what u said here. what is it? ive been flipping through my supertruck essentials magazine and im reading about these tuners that you plug into your console and set the timing/fuel curves, speed/rev limits, etc. I would like to get one of these but im kinda looking for just "gas saving" setting and like a "drag strip" setting so when my friend decides he wants to race his '99 HEMI V8 Ram against me, i can have an edge. (souped up 6 cyl with a cold air intake and maxed out power settings w/ a 5-sp manual trannie vs. a much-heavier automatic dodge ram V8 that has been beaten on all these years? hehe) already got a new sound system and aluminum billet grille on my christmas list, let the old man take care of the more expensive stuff, lol. just looknig for a way to max out my performance cause my friends with their V8's are makin fun of my 6, but non of them wanna race cause I have a stick! thanks for the replies,

-alex

What will gears do? Will it help with power and mpg, or just power. I have an 07 KR supercrew.

lol the HEMI never came out till 03. so if your buddies truck is a 99 its either the 5.2 (318) or 5.9 (360)

I would recommend going with some do it yourself E-fans. It will help your mileage as well.

If you have an 07 KR gears will make a big difference, better fuel mileage around town and really wont hurt your highway mileage. And if you get bigger tires it will help there also. Only problem would be cost. 4x4 you need to re gear front and back and that could be around $1600 but it is much cheaper for 4x2. Gear are always one of the best bang for the buck. It also helps if you tow.

http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index...&parent=2&pg=1

go here you can get three preloaded setting in the programmer from 87 octane fuel "milage" program to 93 octane performance program. really simple, just plug it into your obd2 port under your dash and the tuner does the rest. like i said, if i had the money id get one for my v6 truck. also go to v6f150.com its a great forum site with alot of info for us v6 guys
