Throttle Body Spacers?

So I'm hearing a bunch of fuel-saving and horsepower addition through these things. I just ordered a K&N Series 77 for my 4.2L V6 and a few of my friends who also got it say that getting a spacer improves performance also. Is $100 worth it? And what exactly do they do? (I kno they spin air, but will doing that add 5 HP?)

Thanks,
-Alex

if u can prove it makes 5 hp then we will all get them.. watch how many people tell u dont waste ur money... i dont think its worth it.. i think once i get everything on my truck and run it i will dyno my truck then install a spacer and dyno it again... my opinon... i think itll work if u have multiple mods but its minor.. but listen to what others say if they still wanna answer this question bc its been asked an incredable amount of times.. just go and seardh it and look at all the respnses... enjoy

I've always heard they are a waste of money. I would save the $100 and apply it to the EDGE or XCAL2 tuners. A tuner is the best mod you can do for the money IMO which will give you the most return

Just do a search for 'paperweight'

The difference of course is, a paperweight actually has a useful function
