Exhaust louder?

I put a set of Flowmaster 40's on my 98' but it isn't loud enough. I was thinking about putting in a glasspack or cherry bomb. Is that a good idea or should i try something else?

change out your cats. i have a 98 and took out the four ford cats and put in two maggi high flow cats and it loudened it up. also i have the super 40, not the reg. but they work great and i havent had a check engine light or any of thet stuff. i recommend it. it sounds great.

The only problem with a straight is that where i live they are pretty strict if it its too loud. How much would it cost to put new cats in?

I have got true duals with Thrush glasspacks, I think it sounds pretty good. It isn't really loud but you can sure tell it is running.

I'm right by piperton. I don't know if they are really that strict but I know of a few people who have gotten pulled over. I have had them on a 3 or 4 months.

ive had mine on for almost a year now. they get louder over time as your break them in. The only time I saw someone get pulled over was when he stomped on the gas right in front of a cop, almost blatantly. Who didnt see that ticket coming??
