Exhaust Tips

I want to get new tips cause the chrome ones aren't cutting it for the MN winters..lol So I want to get stainless ones 4" preferably and I cant decide on what I should do.

Should I keep them the way they are, go straight out the back or do lightning style exits out the side..

ANY OPINION IS A GOOD OPINION!!!!!!

Keep 'em how you got it. I have mine the same way and think it looks the best!

Definately go with stainless steel tips. I have and recommend Silverline tips. Very well made, and can stand up to winter abuse.

I've always been a firm believer that if you're gonna take it off road, get it out the sides. If you're gonna street show boat it, go out the back. I've had 2 old hot rods with pipes out the back and I LOVE the way they look, but these are trucks, and if you're takin it to the dirt, the sides is the way to go IMO.

thats what i've been thinking.. well i'm still undecided but i think that this would be the way to go because i will be using it for off road purposes.. waiting on the money for some nice wheels and tires though..

x2 with the out the side, ive had both and i miss the out the side because its way to easy for them to get hung up and bouncing off stuff when your off road. right now i have them out the back and would like to change to lightning style. but i bought a tuner...the other day i watched my gf back into a pile in the yard and she clogged up both tips with dirt and sod. plus in the winter they will stay cleaner.

Also a very good point.. I think i'm sold on the out the side style

One more question though.. I really like the sound that I have now with my IMCO extreme and dont want that to change.. will it matter??

Thanks-Alex

your muffler shop can push the mufler more towards the engine if its to far back for them to just put pipes in which it shouldnt be. then they can just bend some pipes for them to come out lightning style. its real easy for them. also when you pass cars the sound reflects on them and it sounds real good. lets them kno your passin. i got quoted for 150 bucks for the whole job, but it could be cheaper at a diff shop.
