Cats or No Cats?

I want to fix my exhaust leak and am looking at the OBX longtube kit off ebay. The question is other than emissions, does a lack of cats cause any malfunctions. I understand that I may get a cel for the aft o2 sensor but I can deal with that for now with mil eliminators if I have to.

go with 2 magnaflow high flow cats, they burn cleaner and sound much better than stock cats.

If you are putting on long tubes and not worried about emissions. I wouldn't hack it up just to put cats in.

I got a dumb question. If I were to remove my cats for the sake of a better free-flowing exhaust, what do I do with the upstream and downstream O2 sensors?

I used to work in an exhaust shop and to tell you the truth, you wont see any horspower gain by doing a full high flow cat back exhaust. By replacing the cats you will get more horsepower but it wont be anything you can feel. It's a lot of money to spend just for 2-3 h more horsepower. It will make the truck sound a lot more crisp if you have an aftermarket muffler though.

So would it be the same to run no cats?
