intake question

Hey guys,

My 04 Screw has a magnaflow that is 1 in and then it turns into a dual exhaust. Well it has a nice, not to loud, but not to quiet sound to it. You can not hear it inside the cab that much though. Well, the truck has just a k and n drop in. I want to make my truck louder. If I get the AF1 intake, will my truck sound louder? If so, how much?

thanks

It'll give ya a nice growl from under the hood when you step on it.. I love the way it sounds on my truck..

Plus you'll get better throttle response, it's noticeable..

Only get the 3.5" AF1 if you're able to tune for it.. otherwise the 3" is what you want..

If you want more sound out of your exhaust, swap out the 18'' magnaflow muffler for a 14''. You will be very happy. And get a cai any way I added the S&B cai to my Magnaflow si/so and it made the exhaust a little louder but not much. You will hear the intake more then the exhaust.

An exposed filter intake like the AF1 and AEM will make your truck about 2dBA louder.

An enclosed filter intake like the Banks Power and Outlaw Power will make your truck about 1.5dBA louder.

Not much of a difference either way.

when i installed my K&N intake, it make the engine much throatier and gave it a very distinct growl, i love it. it didnt drone either, it sounded sweet! but the next day i had flowmasters put on, so now i cant really hear the intake untill about 4000 RPM when it really starts to pull hard, then it roars and sounds sweet.

Yes. You will get more underhood noise and it *may* even change your exhaust note giving it more of an edge to it.
