You don't have cats, if you don't have the rear O2s turned off you will get a cel regardless of sensor age, the rears will trip it.

I have been working on cars in my backyard for a while now but have never heard of being able to "turn off" the O2 sensor. Is this something that would be done through a product like the edge? How else would this be done? I would like to get the OBX long tubes but I have emissions testing in my area and even a cel will fail your test.

Thanks in advance for the answer to the noob question.

Eric

You can shut off the rear 02's via SCT (Superchips Custom Tuning). Troyer wouldn't do it for me though and probably wont do it for you either just an FYI

For anyone elese wanting to know, i too now have the OBX LT's on my 2000 5.4L F-150. My mechanic installing them said they were the nicest set of headers he's saw in a LONG time. After they were installed, i took it to a local muffler shop and they too said they were the nicest set of headers they've seen in a long time as well. The owner was there and was looking at the welds, etc. for imperfections and couldn't find one!

So i now have the OBX LT's, spun cats, and a flowmaster 40 series cat-back, WOAH does it ever sound good! It is 9999999x's better than all 4 OEM cats and the cat back.

I will soon post a thread with pics and a sound clip and my final review.

Mine are sitting on the floore in my living room

I'm trying to get all my stuff together to put them on, how did you attach the spun cats to the headers? did you just weld them or use the flanges that are on the resonators that the kit comes with? I just have regular SS maggie high flows so I'm trying to determine how I'm going to put them in.

Headers were installed with the resonators first, then the muffler shop installed the cats. They had to weld in new bungs, i also had an extra bung welded in before the cat for my upcoming dyno tune at Paul's High Performance.
