ive had flowmasters, different models on 4 different setups, switched to magnaflow and I could tell a huge power increase. Flowmasters seemed to cost me a lot of power. The sound was good, but magnaflows always sound better and perform better IMO

Thumbs up

I agree magnaflow is all a round better, I too had 2 different flowmasters & hated each one. The Magnaflow sounds better & performs better also.

I Like Magnaflow in S.S. of course.....

Does Flowmaster even make a S.S. Exahust?

Please post your thoughts.
1.Mufflers do not produce power.

2. Flowmaster sounds better.

3. Magnaflow last longer.

4. Witch do you prefer? Well,,Flowmaster of coarse,,hahahahaha.

Well I just went through the same delima, but chose the Magnaflow 15609 for my truck. It sounds awesome and definitely feels like my truck has a little more power. So, imo i think that the magnaflow would be the best bet.

I have flowmasters and can tell a little difference in power not much. The sound is good but if your going for loud dont go with flows.

which muffler did you get?? flows in general are louder.

i have a friend with a 2004 f150 5.4 (same as me) and he has a 14" magnaflow. i have a flowmaster super44. here's my thoughts...

power: cant tell a difference. mufflers arent gonna give you noticeable power gains, maybe a few ponies on the dyno but nothing more. some say that magnaflow give gives more power then flows, i cant tell a difference between our two trucks (before i tuned mine of course)

sound: they both sound great on startup and idle but the flowmaster sounds a ton better on acceleration, especially at high RPM. much better tone. mine is also a lot louder, but some people dont like it real loud.

Durability: the magnaflows in general lost longer.

Preference: well, ill leave you to guess that

and these are each companies higher end mufflers, there are so many more to choose from both companies that can change the variables.

Had them both. I prefer Magnafow. To me it has better quality sound and the truck performs better with it.
