Not sure what the MAF adapter is but you need to make sure the MAF has the same orientation as it did stock. Also make sure you have no air leaks.
You can clear the CEL by disconnecting both battery terminals for about 20 minutes. If it does it again i would put the stocker back on!!!

Why do you have a adapter on an 02? I've seen them 3 and 4 " adapters but you do'nt need one . I think those are for the 04 plus units - or the lightnings maybe..

That will happen if the MAF isn't plugged in properly - or it's got something on it - contaminated . Is your IAT plugged in as well?

If all that's fine then head up to auto zone next chance you get and get the code pulled - It's free there..

You want to copy down the number from the reader, that's all you want . Don't go by what they tell you as to the problem - Copy the numbers down on the reader . Have paper and pencil with you..

Then report them back here, we can figure it out from there..

You know , it's possible you just need a reboot. Try unhooking the battery for 15 minutes. While your waiting , make sure everything is plugged in good.

You'll prolly still have to disconnect the battery to reset. Glad you found it , I've done that many times over the years .
