3" or 3 1/2" for 2wd Lightning Style Exhaust???

3" or 3 1/2" TIPS for 2wd Lightning Style Exhaust???
Which do you guys think would look better? I have a '97 f150 w/2wd. From the factory it sets a little low.
The exhaust shop recommended 3 1/2" Slashed Tips with 45 deg. angle.
Just curious if 3 1/2" would be too much???
I'm wanting to run the magnaflow 11385 (a 14" 4x9 di/do 2.25")
