Hey everyone FYI I was talking to Bill who wrote the program for edge on the F150's and he said that on the dyno they saw about a 8 hp increase just by removing the piece that goes in the fender

I was originally trying to do something similar to this but with the pvc inside the rubber ring to try and seal it in there until I realized there are holes all over the inner fender and just scrapped the idea

and that is drawing warm air from under the hood rather than the much cooler air that is inside the fender well...

Thumbs up

Hey GOTTS2BME:
Tried your intake mod, this time i reset the computer. seems to be working much better, and the engine really growls when ya give it the gas. also, gas mileage may have increased, and definitely increased torque! wheels seem to bark a little longer on the 1-2 shifts.
Thanks for the intake mod and reminding me to reset the computer

I am just curious to who has all tried this. You can add yourself to the list by copying and pasting the list and adding yourself at the bottom

1. Gotts2BMe
2. terajerame
3. jlr128
4. Patman03SprCrw
5. 2002 Wonderboy
6. dleebold

These are the only people that have posted that they have done it. If you would like you can add yourself to the list, just copy and paste it, add in the next digit and put in your name.

I couldn't get the 3" schedule 40 through the freakin fender at first - I think I cracked a molar trying to hang on to 3" hole-saw in the Milwaukee when I reamed her

Guess I could have just sanded the PVC - Oh well, She fits like glove now, great mod..

Warm the pvc up before you cut it infront of a bullet heater and give it a little squish, it will go right in.

but the only problem with that is that when you squish it you will lose about a 1/2" diameter only making it a 2.5" inlet rather than a full 3"
