if sound is what you're after, go wtih true dual 2.0" pipes.
Ive got that on my 98 4.6, w/ dual tips under the back bumper. It sounds mean, and it's really loud. I previously had the Y pipe (no muffler) and dual tailpipes, but the sound changed a lot when i switched to true duals...just keep the pipe diameter small (2 or 2.25") and you shouldnt lose too much low end torque.
You wont regret the sound, trust me

I am very happy with my setup as well. 4.6 with Magnaflow custom Y pipe and dual 4' x 24' SS Vibrant tips.

HAH dose anyone want to buy a magna flow from me its 18in long, i really want to be loud and replace it with a x pipe, will i loose any power
