Long Tubes?

Long Tubes?

I have a 2000 F150 with the 5.4L I want to put long tubes on it was wondering if anyone has done this, how hard is it and how much power you can gain thanks

I have the dynatechs, I had my shorties off and the long tubes on in 2 hours, gained 30hp and 35ftlbs.

How hard is it to get to the header bolts on both sides? Did you have to remove anything or move anything to get to them?

it was not hard at all. there was only 1 bolt on the passenger side that put up a fight, 1/4 turn then reset the wrench the whole way in, but it worked out ok.

Do you have the 5.4 or 4.6? Also saw you put in a transgo shift kit, I did one on my 2000 Mustang GT I wonder if it would be the same thing?

I have the 5.4 If you put a transgo in your mustang then they are the same, but the parts you put in are different.

Long tubes are a great base for modifications. Correctly designed headers are one of the best mods that you can do to enhance the engine's performance at all RPM's.
