I'm new to mufflers, what exactly is true duals? Is that two exhaust pipes with two separate mufflers? How do you do that?

Yes,,,,you just cut the Y pipe up by the motor were the 2 pipes come together and run a pipe all the way back for each side of the motor.

If you decide to go with the Flows go with the super 44's. They sound 100x better than the 40's. They've got more of a tuned sound. You'll love them.

I need to commend you on your accomplishment, it's not very often you find a 16 year old willing to work for what he wants.

i ordered a super44 SIDO along with two tips from the flowmaster site for 200 bucks, then took it to a local shop where they bent pipes for 160. so i paid ~360 total. trust me, its loud. and sounds great. not bad on the highway, and for some reason these new super44s tend not to show that low end torque loss, ive experienced none.

Flowmaster

I got the single in, dual out flowmaster 40 on a 4.2L. Sounds sorta ok at times, but nothing like a V8. Haven't heard a bad V8 with FMs yet, but I'm sure someone can dispute this.

Stainless steel mandrel bent pipes, H-pipe, and two big stainless tips out the back for under $350. Shop around and you'll find a good deal (Usually at the "mom & pop" exhaust shops and not Midas, ect.).
