It will sound good with some drone in the cab you will lose bottom end power and gain top end , just cut mine off after a month and installed a Magaflow 11256 .

2006 4.2L

If you don't mind drone, the Flow is ok. I'd go with an 18" Magnaflow. Much better sound & you'll probably gain a little power.

I put a Flopro V-Force model V6 on mine - no drone in the cab and no loss of bottom end. It's not as deep or as loud as a Flowmaster, but it cracks and pops when you back off. My sister has a Flowmaster 40 on her 3.0 Ranger and that thing is drone city. Flowmasters are not the right mufflers for V6 engines.

No muffler will hurt your engine. Some just sound better than others.
