i actually just installed a maggie 4x9" 14" SI/SO on my 02 with the 5.4, and added a 18" piece of pipe to compensate for the huge muffler on the truck, and used all the stock pipes. it sounds mean, and NO drone. we took a 4 hour trip (one way) 12 hours after doing it, and no drone whatsoever, but it did sound pretty sweet pullin the boat up tho superhills!

It's definitely more mellow than the mustangs, but the volume is great, especially at WOT. Also, it's not chambered, so no drone.

Dumped is great, no need to get expensive stainless steel tips, and costs less (pipe+muffler+labor cost me $200). I've had it for about a year and a half now, and couldn't be happier with it.
I agree. I see no need to spend extra money on labor, pipes and tips.
