There was a guy here looking to dump a new one...anyone recall him?

By new ones do you mean the '07s that have a fuel fired scrubber process that runs automatically every so many miles? (a programming fault in the ratio of this is what caused the flamethrowers)

Between that and the built in emissions treatment system, I figured a regular aftermarket muffler would be shot in no time.

Those exhaust gasses are coming out at some seriously high temps while the system scrub is running.

 

No I was thinking of the 6.0...2006.

There was a fella here trying to unload one and I cannot find his post or classified.
