Hi Wolf.

From a brief glance, looks like the # 140136 is for an 05 & up; the # 140086 is or an 04 built before 06/2004. Different fitment requirements between those years.

Quickest way to check is simply type 'borla 140086' ( or whatever model #) into Google. The first hit is usually the right link.

Cheers
Bubba

or try www.borla.com .. they step you through the various systems they offer until it narrows it down to what's right for your vehicle.. I have the 140136 on my 05 4.6L Screw and couldn't be happier with it..

Mine was $499 from autopartswarehouse.com shipping included.. check around, you can probably find it for a little less, tho shipping to Hawaii may not be so free.. lol..
Reasons I went with borla.. the sound, quality, reputation, the guarantee.. A nice little bonus is the extra mpg.. before I put the borla on the best I averaged on the highway was 17.51 mpg.. now I consistently get 19.21 - 19.31..
250 mile round-trip (exactly 250) yesterday and took 13.00 gal to fill back up.. 19.23...

Hey Tex. That's a good price!

You think maybe Wolf needs a hand with that install?

Cheers!

no idea unless they just jacked 'em up.. ordered mine back in march, it was listed at $549.99 with a $50 discount on orders of I think $400 or more.. so $499.99.. and free shipping to boot.. I was pretty happy with that! Oh, and I didn't order from Borla directly, just used their site to determine what would fit my truck.. autopartswarehouse.com is who I ordered through, I had no problems at all but I've been seeing posts on the site recently complaining about them, so buyer beware I guess..

And Wolf, it's like a 45 lb. box so I'm assuming a good bit of that price is for shipping?

And btw Wolf, once you get that bolted up and crank the engine, it's gonna be "Holy chit! Is that MY truck making that sound?!"..

Moss f150 parts has some Borla systems as well. Some of them are $550 other are over $700 it all depends on the exit location. Just some food for thought. F150store.com

I bought the Ford Racing exhaust (made by Borla) for $274 shipped.

You can see it and hear it in this thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=278215
