Reg Cab side exhaust

I was wondering if anybody has a F150 4X4 reg cab with a side exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheel (similar to the Lightning). If so can you post a pic and what did you get or was it custom made? I planned on making my own but if there's a kit ready to go decently priced then it would be much easier IMO.

Nice Tarajerame. Ive been wanting to do exhaust like that for awhile. My next truck is going to have them like that.

Crash, unless the setup Tarajerame has is a kit they sell, I havent seen any side exit kits like that for the 99-03 models, only the 04+.

That's what I figured. My plan is to get a Magnaflow 14" or 18" and run a 45 or 90 degree pipe out the side depending on room needed. I did find this but not sure if it will fit http://www.jdsperformance.com/index....=item&inmake=0

Here's my custom job, was only $150 and done at a local Midas shop a few years back.

I know it's only a single exit on the old body style, but hope it helps to see what a 90 degree side exit looks like since most are the 45. Coming soon is an IMCO extreme 3"SI/2.5"DO side exit

mine is a custom job with the 45 angled tips. the muffler guys told me it would look stupid but my wife disagrees and now they use pics of my truck on thier wall of look what we did, LOL.

any lighting exhaust system will have the similar look just will need a 1 into 2 y pipe to match the lightings duals VS "non-SVT" built F-150s single exhaust

Is it true from numerous people telling me that if you side exhaust it before the rear wheel it will pit it and turn it different colors from all of the fumes? I've had a few people begging me to change the stock exhaust on my truck, but I don't have the time until summer. Is this all true or a rumor?? Thanks!

NYfordguy = no affects on the wheel what so ever (the tips discolor but only because they are stainless, note to self use chrome tips next time)

MotoXracing22 = '02 FoMoCo ford harley truck take off's got to have a harley truck to order them from ford or get some one to order them against their harley truck VIN

CRASH7772 can you post a pic of your truck so we can look at it and try to help you out with original ideas

Thanks for the heads up Raatikainen22, but i am aware of this What year/motor you have? I've only heard a few soundclips of them and they all roar like a lion i love it!

A setup like Tarajerame's would look really nice and clean on your truck CRASH7772

you should put on a lightning body kit and keep the sun visor that'd be different on a 4X4 i think

I have a 2000 5.4L and I absolutly love the sound!!! couldn't be happier... unless it were louder-of coarse!! Anyway I like how it is loud, but it still is a rumble and no popping...

Well I pretty much found what I was looking for and here is a pic. Ford Racing Lightning Style exhaust (made by Borla).

http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...nt=exhaust.jpg

Turns out I have a broken end link on my sway bar so on Saturday they are going on with the new exhaust. I will get some video when it breaks in (exhaust usually get a little louder once run a bit). Oh and I got it for $274 shipped, if anybody is interested let me know, I'll give you some info on where to get it. I was also told that Ford Racing will not be selling these much longer.
