The 304 Stainless is about the best you can get. I have the Silverline tips on my truck and they hold up great. I have had them on for about a year and I have had no problem with yellowing or rust. I live in upstate NY and thye use rock salt on the roads about half of the year and I havent noticed any problems. The only thing I recommend it that if you get the tips with the 45 degree slash cut like I have make sure to be careful cleaning them. I have cut my hands on them a few times. As with any tip you have to keep them clean and the hardest thing to keep off of them is the road tar and oil in the summer time when they are patching the roads. I hope this helps.

yeah, thats great. all i needed to know. i just have to get the oil issue that im facing now fixed so i dont run into the same problem. i think that combined with the right quality of stainless will be the solution to my problem. thanks for the info
