Magnaflow 15609 WOW

Just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am to have my new Magnaflow installed on my 02 Screw. It sounds really good and looks good too. I did have a little trouble on the install though. I thought I could get away with not cutting the OE pipe like the instructions say, but I had to anyway. Let me tell you, it sucks trying to cut that pipe with a hacksaw upside down underneath the truck. I think I will drive with it for a couple weeks and maybe take it to the muffler shop to get it welded up. Can't wait to add the AF1 intake and Xcal2.

I'm totally phsyched about mine as well, which I just installed.. However, it doesn't seem like it would suit most people on this board.. It sounds almost excatly like stock, a little more grumble -- but I would characterize it as nice and quiet, with good looks. In fact, its alot more quiet than what I replaced, whcih was my stock muffler that had a couple small holes in it. For someone who needs to replace their muffler and pipes, and wants to do it themselves, and get a much nicer system for only a little more than what a chain store would charge, its the way to go.

Sorry I'm Late

Sorry I'm so late responding, been super busy. I don't have the capability to do sound clips but I can tell you it is not loud and obnoxious like a flowmaster but is louder than stock. It could stand to be a little louder at times but I think that that would get on my nerves if it were. It makes enough noise to get people that know cars to look but not enough to get all the lookie loos looking at you. Hopefully this helps.

Well mine didn't bolt up perfectly, rubbed a little on the 17" spare tire, so the shop did a little modding. I love the sound though, wouldn't want it any louder. Put the Airaid CAI on today and a full tank of gas so now we'll see if there is any improvement.

Angry

Has anyone noticed a drop in their mpg with normal driving habits. I swear mine has gotten worse with the addition of a CAI.
