what exhaust is best

i have a 2000 f150 with the v8 5.4l triton engine, it has the stock exhaust, i am looking to get the nice v8 rumble sound out of the engine. in my opinion with the stock exhaust it sounds about the same as my moms little v6 explorer.
any suggestions of a good exhaust ?????

will post pics when i get my digital cam working

Exhaust

I have a 2000F 150 w/the 4.6.I cut my pipes @ the Y,ran 2 seperate pipes into a Magnaflow X pipe, ran the pipes into 2 40 series FM's,ran the pipes over the axle and dumped the exhaust right in front of the rear bumper,no tips. All pipe dia. are 2.5".I just had my factory cats removed and installed 2 high flow cats. This really woke up my truck,I have the nice deep rumble @ idle (my Mustang gearhead friends tell me that my truck sounds like a Mustang) and the performance and fuel economy have also increased.Magnaflow makes the cats and the X pipe, they are both available on e-bay,both very reasonable. This is a basic system, whatever muffler you choose will give you the sound you want, there are so many mufflers on the market. The high flows and the X pipe work,I love the way my truck sounds and runs.Hope this helps, good luck w/ your exhaust.

Go with magnaflows because flowmasters have a none distinct tone and borla might be pricey and sound deep i would go in between and go with Magnaflows.

I have a Vortec side exit system with twin 3.5 inch SS tips that sounds rather snarley...

There are so many systems out there that you will have to see for yourself which one you like.
