S&B intake from autoanything.com...didnt work so well

I was so excited to get my new S&B intake yesterday, but when I first looked at the box I knew something was wrong...

I have a 2004 F150 NBS with a 5.4L, but they sent me a intake for a 2004 F150 "Heritage" Lighting. Heres the screwed up part. The intake I ordered is listed for a "2004 F150 New Body Style Lightning w/ 5.4L". Now it was my mistake not to see the word "lightning"....but Im 99% sure Ford never made a Lightning in the new body style.

I'm arguing with customer service to try and get them to pay the return shipping. I see it as a 50/50 argument, but they probably have more money then me...so they should pay by default! lol anyways what do you guys here think? Look at the (sub)models on their site for the 04 S&B intakes, and tell me its not just a lil messed up.

You are correct in your assumption that there was NEVER a new body style 2004 Lightning. Therefore you should expect them to pay shipping for advertising something that NEVER existed !!!! Besides, the Lightning was only a 2V engine while yours is a 3V engine, so you got them twice !!!

Is arguing over $10.00 worth it? I had to return something to Autoanything once and it could not be any easier. Once you email them with a tracking number of the package you ship out then they will credit your credit card, they don't even wait for them to get the packege and they are refunding your money. It would be the same way if you just exchange it. I would just send it back if it was me and eat the cost, not worth it to me. good luck

Not to start a war but the 99-04 Lightning is considered the "New Body Style" and the 93-95 Lightning was the original. I know it's not widely know but if you look at Lightning sites that's how they seem to be referred to.

nah Im not really worried about the money...its just the principal of it. Im right and there wrong, and I know it! lol j/p I really should have asked for the same price I paid ($180.00 instead of $250.00) for the correct intake.. haha

oh CRASH772 didnt those older lightings have the 351W (5.8l) not the 5.4l?

The 93-95 did have the 5.8l 351 and it was also N/A not forced induced. I just have seen some text claiming the "New Body Style" Lightning as I have been looking around for a Flex-a-lite Model 270 fan and a lot of the Lightning vendors carry this kit. I haven't seen the page your speaking of but it would make more sense to put screw (for supercharged) instead of "New Body Style".
