I had that same one on my 04 FX4 it was cool for a while but a few months after I had it put on it started to leak and sounded like crap so I would not get it if I was you. I have a few pix in my gallery

Do you want it only for loud sound or do you care about performance too?

If you care about being loud, QTP seems to be a good quality brand.

As far as power goes, you should have your truck dyno'ed because you may lose some low rpm torque.

Well I don't have an electric cut out but I do have a manual and i'm more than pleased with the results. My exhaust has a deeper tone and more of a growl with no popping or tinging whatsoever. I have a flowmaster 40 with dual 3 " pipes and 3 1/2" tips. You can't beat the price either at around 30 bucks from summit its more than 1/6 the cost of an electric and to put the cap back on takes about 1 min. I recommend it.

Here is another idea. I've known many people that have ran the Warlock Mufflers before, I've always liked these. They are a decent muffler with a direct bypass built in.

alright so i bought my manual cutout for now but if i want to upgrade i always can im just worried about that electric cut out leaking and the exhaust might sound like crap like FX Mat said my friend has the DMH's on his grand national and i know it those things have to be leaking or something cos they dont sound that quiet when they are closed shut.

There's two guys here with cut outs. One is a 1987 Chevy 1500 4x4 with a 350 and no cats, two cut outs. It sounds bad *** when they're open. They're manual, and did leak until he replaced the gaskets.

The other is a 2002 Dodge 1500 4x4 with the 5.9. It has the cat. He's got the electric cut out. When it's open, it is about as loud as my truck with the 40 series when it had cats.... I'd get the electric for the convenience....
