Against Flowmaster

It seems that no one recommends flowmaster mufflers. Why is that. Not tring to offend anyone or nothing but i myself have a flowmaster and was just wondering why no one really likes it.

Most people that dislike flowmaster will probably say it is due to the drone that is created in the cab. When I first had my flowmaster installed, I had the super 40 muffler SIDO. It stayed on for about a week and then I went and got the 50 series delta flow. With the 40s, you could barely speak to a passenger when you were at highway speeds. The drone in the cab was just way too much.

I had the 40 on two vehicles. The last a 03 Expy. The drone at 65 was driving me crazy.

So on my Supercrew I went with the 50 series SI/DO and love it. Great sound and no drone at cruising speed. Hit WOT and you know it's there.

I love Flowmaster, Have it on my '02 Trans Am & '99 F250 5.4L, & cant wait to put the si/so Super 40 on my F150, some people experience power loss with Flowmaster, I have not yet, & I like the drone, thats just me, I just like the sound of it.

I love my Flowmaster 40 SIDO. No highway drone, but when you gas it, you know it's there. has a very nice tone.

I've had them on all my trucks and on my 67 Camaro, and mine never rusted.

Flowmasters are said to cause a loss of HP. I have a Flow and did not notice any loss at all. If I did lose HP then it was not of any significance cause I cant tell . I say for the overall driving pleasure you cant beat a Flowmaster.

I was a big fan of Flowmaster until I switched my flows/h-pipe combo out for Magnaflow/ X-pipe on my Stang.

Without any other changes I picked up 39rwhp 35 rwtq over the Flowmaster set-up..

GO WITH THE FLOW

Go with the sound you like. I have the 50 DeltaFlow - SI/DO

If I had any more low end power I couldn't keep tires on it - of course I am Troyer Tuned

I'll tell you why I don't like Flowmaster: I had a 40 series on my 04 FX4 it rusted I didnt like the sound and get a light a try to see through it what do you see?? a bunch of Triangles and turns to make noise all to loose low-end tq, I went with Magnaflow this time cause its stainless you gain tq and hp you can see right through it and it sounds great just my .02

Ran the Flowmaster 40 Series SIDO on the 05' F-150, and I already got a Flowmaster 40 Series SIDO ready to go on the new truck. Just waiting to install right before the lift and tires.
