Exhaust choice

I own a 2001 f150 4x4, i am looking for a cat back system that will provide some more power to my 4.6l as well as better fuel economy and a deep throaty sound. I am not interested in an exhaust system that sounds like the pipes are gargling in water. I want something mean and basically badass. when im crusin through the small town of tallahassee florida, i want people to recognize my exhaust sound and be like man thats what i want my truck to sound like! please provide me with model part #s and where the best place to buy is! thanks!

I think your best bet is to stick with an exhaust that gives you the bada$$ sound that you want. More power and better MPG aint gonna happen from an exhaust only. Most of the gains in power on exhausts are at or near wide open throttle. I have heard guys claiming to pick up MPG but I dont see it. Search the boards for more info.

IMO Flowmaster sounds the best, but has been known to rob you from power, Magnaflow sounds great when you get on it & no highway drone & dyno proven h/p & tq gains, Dynomax sounds deep & mean & gains you some power too.
