True Dual Exhaust...

What exactly is true dual exhaust? What does it sound like on a 5.4 l f150? How is performance, gas mileage, horsepower, etc affected?

True duals are one exhaust pipe for each side of the engine. I didn't notice any gains with my setup on my last truck. They're the loudest you can go, if that's what you want.

to clarify its one pipe for each side that goes all the way to the back, or has an H or X pipe, but having a si/do muffler would not be true duals.

and they sound great.

when i was at the dyno days last april-my setup with the smallest magnaflows-4x9x14's was way quieter than the magnaflow sido catbacks-maybe 1 muffler for each bank of cylinders versus 1 muffler for all 8-nonetheless-the catbacks were way louder than mine-phil
