She will BARK

on a 300 straight six if i true dueld it with straight pipes all the way back.. no mufflers no res no cats.. how much hp or f/lbs/t will i lose?? what size of pipe should i be using? 2 1/4?

I ran and Edelbrock intake, a set of headers with no cats and turbo mufflers on a 300 once (also stripped all of the emissions garbage).

The increase in hp & torque by the seat-o-the-pants dyno as well as the ability to lay down some serious black marks and grab high gear rubber (3 speed) was nothing short of amazing for $ invested.

good.. i dont want to spend alll my money on high flow cats and fancy exhaust just to make er sound mean!

I can't say that mine ever sounded "mean", even running open headers (I don't suggest that BTW, it makes plate glass windows in downtown stores shake.. trust me on that one.. ).

It sounded more like a hopped up tractor than it did "mean". It had awesome torque though. 2 exploded trannies and 3 clutches can't be wrong.

ha ha i think im not going to put headers on there too expensive for i 6's even without them i think it will keep the neigbours up!
